THE PLACEMENTS

One of the great aspects of the program is the professional experience an SJW receives during her year. The specific responsibilities and hours of work for each placement are negotiated depending on the placement site's need and the applicant's skill and interest.

Housing Works provides permanent supportive housing for homeless individuals with chronic mental and/or physical illness in Los Angeles County. The SJ Worker would assist Case Workers in coordinating mental health and recovery support services with participants.  (caseload of 15-20 families or individuals).
